STEAM Camp 1 - Mon-Fri July 14-18, 2025, 9am-2pm
You may have heard of STEM programs - well, STEAM adds ART! In this camp, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math come together through the power of creativity! We’ll dive deep into the world of STEAM, blending its concepts into every activity and project. Incorporating multiple disciplines encourages students to see the connections between different subjects, fostering a more holistic approach to learning.
We’ll do science experiments, build basic circuits, construct with everyday materials, and design one-of-a-kind masterpieces while exploring the “why” behind the materials and techniques, with fun, engaging projects. Our activities spark curiosity and encourage self-expression. Campers will work solo on some projects, while other projects will be team-based to encourage collaboration, group problem solving, and building communication and interpersonal skills.
Between projects we will have unstructured time, when campers can run around to use some of their extra energy, play counselor-led games, do some quiet sketching, or take a little extra time needed to finish a project. We will spend some of our time outdoors (weather-permitting) for projects and free time.
We will have different projects for each STEAM camp this summer, so you may sign up for more than one!
All supplies are included, plus a camp T-shirt. We’ll be using this shirt as our smock every day.
Students must bring their own nut-free lunch and drink each day.
