Private Piano Lessons Early Beginner Study

Recommended for Pre/Early Readers: 5-7 years Old

Our Early Beginner Piano lessons are designed for young students who are eager to explore the piano but are not yet ready for the faster pace of our Integrated Study program.

Lessons build a foundation in piano key recognition, written note recognition, rhythm basics, and musicality. A variety of hands-on learning materials supports sensory exploration and makes learning engaging and interactive.

Students enrolled in private lessons also have access to seven or more performance opportunities each year, including informal and formal recitals and local competitions.

Private Piano Lessons Integrated Study

Recommended for Reading-Level Students 1st Grade to Adult

Our Integrated Study piano program is designed to build a comprehensive foundation in music fundamentals while tailoring goals and activities to each student’s individual interests.

Aligned with Illinois state standards, instruction includes note reading, music theory, harmonization, ear training, scales and technique, and performance repertoire.

Students enrolled in private lessons also have access to seven or more performance opportunities each year, including informal and formal recitals and local competitions.

Private Piano Lessons Intermediate Study

BY TEACHER RECOMMENDATION ONLY

Available by teacher recommendation only, this higher level of study offers 45-minute lessons that move at an accelerated pace. Students explore advanced repertoire and receive detailed instruction to further develop their musical skills.

Intermediate students also have access to additional options for enriching their studies, including increased performance opportunities.

Private Piano Lessons Advanced Study

BY TEACHER RECOMMENDATION ONLY

Our highest level of piano study is available by teacher recommendation only. Students receive 60-minute lessons that move at an accelerated pace, combining advanced repertoire with detailed instruction to further refine their musical skills.

Advanced students also have access to additional opportunities, including:

• Increased performance opportunities

• State and national competitions

• Creation of a portfolio and/or press kit

• Development of a social media presence

Recommended for students 1st Grade to Adult

Jazz Piano

Jazz piano lessons welcome piano students of all experience levels who want to explore a different approach to making music. Students develop their skills through jazz standards, jazz and blues chord progressions and scales, pentatonic scales, improvisation, licks and riffs, music theory, harmony, and chord voicing.

Rock Piano

Build keyboard skills through the energy and excitement of rock ’n’ roll! These lessons offer a distinct alternative to traditional piano study, using rock songs and other high-energy music to develop keyboard proficiency.

Instruction includes ear training, improvisation, rock repertoire and technique, and reading chords and musical notation.

Private High and Low Brass Lessons Beginner/Intermediate

Ages 7 to adult

Designed for students with fewer than three years of prior experience, our beginner and intermediate lessons in trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, and tuba build a strong foundation in instrument fundamentals, note reading, intonation and pitch, rhythm, and introductory music theory.

All music students have access to multiple performance opportunities throughout the year, gaining experience through both solo and group performances. These opportunities help students build confidence and develop the skills for a lifetime of musical enjoyment.

Private Trumpet Lessons Upper intermediate/Advanced

Ages 7 to adult

Designed for students with three or more years of dedicated study, our advanced lessons move at an accelerated pace and prepare students for higher levels of instrumental performance.

Our instructors are also involved in larger group productions and can help students prepare band, orchestra, and other ensemble music, in addition to their private lesson repertoire.

All music students have access to multiple performance opportunities throughout the year, gaining experience through both solo and group performances. These opportunities help students build confidence and develop the skills for a lifetime of musical enjoyment.

Private Guitar Lessons All Levels

Ages 5 to Adult

Share your musical journey with a friend or family member! Roselle Fine Arts Academy offers semi-private lessons at a discounted rate, making learning together a fun and collaborative experience.

Lessons combine individual attention with opportunities to play together, helping students develop their skills alongside someone they enjoy.

Semi-private students also have access to all the performance opportunities available to our private lesson students.

Private Ukulele Lessons Beginner/Intermediate

Ages 5 to Adult

Designed for students with fewer than three years of prior experience, our beginner and intermediate ukulele lessons offer the flexibility to transition between ukulele and guitar or continue studying ukulele.

Students enrolled in private lessons also have access to seven or more performance opportunities each year, including informal and formal recitals and local competitions.

Private Strings Lessons Beginner/Intermediate

Ages 5 to adult

Our beginner and intermediate lessons in violin, viola, cello, and bass are designed for students with fewer than three years of prior experience. Students build a foundation in music basics and note reading while developing the fundamental skills and techniques of playing a bowed string instrument.

Students enrolled in private lessons also have access to seven or more performance opportunities each year, including informal and formal recitals and local competitions.

Private Drum Lessons All Levels

Ages 7 to Adult

Our 30-minute individual drum lessons take place on the academy’s acoustic drum set. Students can explore their preferred performance styles while developing skills in Gladstone technique, Moeller technique, the Speed Stroke, drum set improvisation, and sight reading.

All music students have access to multiple performance opportunities throughout the year, gaining experience through both solo and group performances. These opportunities help students build confidence and develop the skills for a lifetime of musical enjoyment.

Private Flute Lessons Beginner/Intermediate

Ages 7 to Adult

Our 30-minute voice lessons are tailored to each student’s goals and preferred musical styles, including pop, contemporary, jazz, opera, country, folk, classical, musical theatre, and more.

Every lesson includes music theory, vocal technique, rhythm training, breathing, dictation, expression, and musicality, helping students develop into confident vocal musicians and enjoy a lifetime of singing.

Voice students have access to multiple performance and competition opportunities throughout the year, allowing them to build confidence and share their developing skills.

AP Music Theory Tutoring

Grades 9-12

Our AP Music Theory tutoring helps high school students develop the skills and knowledge essential for success on the AP Music Theory exam. Whether students are enrolled in an AP Music Theory course or preparing independently, sessions offer in-depth instruction and personalized feedback tailored to their needs.

Students strengthen their understanding of pitch, rhythm, harmony, voice leading, musical form, and other music fundamentals. Guided practice in sight-singing, melodic and harmonic dictation, and part-writing builds skills and confidence in both the written and aural components of the exam.
