Private Piano Lessons Early Beginner Study

Recommended for Pre/Early Readers 5-7 years Old
COST: $120/month for 30-minute Weekly Lessons

Early Beginner Piano lessons are designed for young students who have an interest in getting started with piano but who aren’t quite ready for our faster-moving Integrated Study lessons. This course focuses on piano key recognition, written note recognition, rhythm basics, and musicality. We use a wide range of tactile manipulatives to enhance sensory play and learning. Students at this level work out of Bastien Primer A and B books and then graduate to our full Integrated Study course. Students who study privately also have 7+ performance opportunities annually including both informal and formal recitals and local competitions.

Private Piano Lessons Integrated Study

Recommended for Reading-Level Students 1st Grade-Adult
COST: $120/month for 30-minute Weekly Lessons

Students of all ages and experience levels are welcomed to study private piano at Roselle Fine Arts Academy. Our Integrated Study program makes sure students have a comprehensive knowledge of music fundamentals while also tailoring lesson goals and activities to the interests of each individual. Following Illinois state standards, our instruction includes note-reading, theory, harmonization, ear training, scale skills and technique, and performance repertoire. Students who study privately also have 7+ performance opportunities annually including both informal and formal recitals and local competitions.

Private Piano Lessons Intermediate Study

BY TEACHER RECOMMENDATION ONLY
COST: $187/month for 45-minute weekly Lessons

This higher level of study is by teacher recommendation only. Student lessons are 45-minutes and move at an accelerated pace with advanced repertoire and detailed instruction. Intermediate students also have a number of additional options, including increased performance opportunities.

Private Piano Lessons Advanced Study

Our highest level of study is by teacher recommendation only. Student lessons are 60-minutes and move at an accelerated pace with advanced repertoire and detailed instruction. Advanced students also have a number of additional options, including: increased performance opportunities, state and national competitions, creation of a portfolio/press kit and/or development of social media presence.

Suzuki Method **COURSE FULL. FILL OUT THE FORM BELOW TO BE ADDED TO THE SUZUKI WAITING LIST.

The Suzuki method was created in the mid-20th century by Japanese violinist, Shinichi Suzuki. Dr. Suzuki believed that any child properly trained had unlimited potential to develop musical ability. By emulating the manner in which children acquire their native language and believing that music would make them into people of kindness and character, his method rose to international fame and Dr. Suzuki was nominated for a Nobel Peace prize. Students who study the Suzuki method receive additional ear training and common repertoire.

Jazz Piano

Jazz piano lessons are for any level of piano students who want to learn and experience a wholly different way to make music! Lessons incorporate jazz standards, jazz and blues chord progressions and scales, pentatonic scales, improvisations, licks and riffs, theory, harmony and voicing.

Rock Piano

Get ready to rock! These 30-minute lessons are vastly different from traditional study. Students learn keyboard proficiency through rock ‘n roll songs and high energy music. Lessons include ear training, improvisation, rock music and technique, reading chords and notation.

VOICE & DRUMS

Voice Lessons All Levels

Ages 7+
COST: $140/month for 30-minute weekly lessons

Voice lessons are 30-minutes long and are crafted to match the student’s goals and preferred style (pop, contemporary, jazz, opera, country, folk, classical, musical theatre, etc.). Our voice students have a number of performance and competition opportunities throughout the year and gain the confidence to not only enjoy a lifetime of singing but to become vocal musicians. All lessons include music theory, technique and rhythm training as well as breathing, dictation, expression and musicality. Voice lessons take place in our largest classroom which has the best acoustics and allows for safe physical distancing.

Drum Lessons All Levels

Ages 7+
COST: $140/month for 30-minute weekly lessons

Drum lessons are individual lessons 30-minutes long on our acoustic drum set. Students may focus on any performance style of their choosing while also learning techniques such as Gladstone, Moeller, The Speed Stroke, Drum Set Improv, and Sight Reading. All of our music students have a number of performance opportunities throughout the year to gain experience playing solos and in groups, and to gain the confidence for a lifetime of enjoying music!

*While having a drum set at home would be ideal, we know that it is not always practical. Students may purchase a practice pad or snare drum for practice instead.

Flute Lessons Beginner/Intermediate

Ages 7+
COST: $140/month for 30-minute weekly lessons

Beginner and Intermediate students are students with less than 3 years of prior experience. Students are taught instrument fundamentals, note-reading, intonation and pitch, rhythm, and beginning music theory. All of our music students have a number of performance opportunities throughout the year to gain experience playing solos and in groups, and to gain the confidence for a lifetime of enjoying music!

Flute Lessons Advanced

Ages 7+
COST: $187/month for 30-minute weekly lessons

Advanced students are students with 3+ years of dedicated study. The advanced lessons are more accelerated and prepare students for high levels of instrument performance. Our instructors are also involved in larger group productions and can work with the student on band, orchestra, and other music in addition to private repertoire. All of our music students have a number of performance opportunities throughout the year to gain experience playing solos and in groups, and to gain the confidence for a lifetime of enjoying music!

Trumpet Lessons Beginner/Intermediate

Ages 7+
COST: $155/month for 30-minute weekly lessons

Beginner and Intermediate students are students with less than 3 years of prior experience. Students are taught instrument fundamentals, note-reading, intonation and pitch, rhythm, and beginning music theory. Trumpet Lessons Advanced

COST: $172/month for 30-minute weekly lessons

Advanced students are students with 3+ years of dedicated study. The advanced lessons are more accelerated and prepare students for high levels of instrument performance. Our instructors are also involved in larger group productions and can work with the student on band, orchestra, and other music in addition to private repertoire. Do you have a friend or family member that you would enjoy learning alongside? At Roselle Fine Arts Academy we offer the opportunity to study together for a fun experience and a discounted rate! With the semi-private lesson, you will get the best of both worlds- individual attention and group playing. Students in this program have access to all of the performance opportunities of our private students, as well.

Ukulele Lessons Beginner/Intermediate

5+ years old
TUITION: $140/month for 30-minute weekly lessons

Beginner and Intermediate students are students with less than 3 years of prior experience. Ukulele students are able to transition between ukulele and guitar or remain with ukulele. Students who study privately also have 7+ performance opportunities annually including both informal and formal recitals and local competitions.

Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass Beginner/Intermediate

TUITION: $155/month for 30-minute weekly lessons

Beginner and Intermediate students are students with less than 3 years of prior experience. Students learn both the basics of music and note-reading while also studying the fundamentals of bowed instruments. Students who study privately also have 7+ performance opportunities annually including both informal and formal recitals and local competitions.
