Beginning Calligraphy/Brush Lettering - NEW DATES - Mondays March 3 - April 7, 2025, 7:30-8:30pm
In this 6-week course, students will learn modern calligraphy styles and basic letter forms while exploring how to use different brush pens and how to find their own style.
Do you have terrible handwriting so you think you can’t do this? Calligraphy is not the same as cursive writing and is a completely different skill set! Some of the best calligraphers have very messy handwriting! Calligraphy is a slow and methodical process, and many also find it very relaxing.
Left-handed? So is the instructor! While traditional calligraphy with a dip pen and ink requires lefties to be contortionists, modern brush calligraphy is much more natural. If you are a lefty and have always wanted to try calligraphy but thought it was impossible, come give brush pens a try!
