Here at Roselle Fine Arts Academy we strive to create an environment to promote creativity, personal growth, and a sense of community. We like to think of our school as one big family, and once you take a class with us, you become part of that family!
Quality is important to us. We keep our classes small to allow for more student-teacher one-on-one interaction. We use quality art supplies to ensure students have a positive experience when exploring a new medium. And we value your input to help us improve and offer classes YOU want to take!

Registration is now open for all June and July art classes unless otherwise noted. Registration closes 24 hours prior to the start of class unless otherwise noted. If the minimum enrollment for a class is not met, you will be notified 24 hours before the start of class via email and will receive a full refund. For camps, we will provide at least 72 hours warning via email if we still have not met our enrollment minimum, but will leave the registration open in hopes the numbers will be met in time.
If a class is showing as sold out and you would like to be added to the wait list, please contact us via email at info@rosellefa.com with details of the class, how many registrations, their information (names, ages), and best way to contact you. You will be contacted if a spot opens up, at which time you will have 24 hours to respond before we try the next person on the list.

We understand that things happen and plans change. But please understand that we often have to purchase dedicated supplies for classes in advance. And last minute cancellations may make a class fall below enrollment minimums. For this reason, we cannot simply give cash refunds for most classes. If there is a wait list and someone on the list can take your spot, you may receive a cash refund, minus a $5 administration fee.
For our single-day events, if you notify us 72 hours or more in advance of the class, you will receive a refund in the form of a credit towards a future class, minus a $5 administration fee. Notifications within the 72-hour window or no-shows will not receive a refund.
For multi-day classes, workshops, and camps, you must notify us 5 days in advance of the start of the first day of the class to receive a refund in the form of a credit towards a future class, minus a $5 administration fee. If you notify us 72 hours or more in advance of the start of the first class, you may receive a 50% credit. Within the 72-hour window and after classes have begun, no refunds will be issued. If there is a similar class being offered in which there is room, we may allow a transfer to the other class. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Some art supplies contain allergens (e.g., honey, latex, eggs, gluten), and while we won’t be eating them, a student may come in contact with something on their skin or something airborne. If your child has any known allergies, please let us know on the registration form or immediately after registration via email.
If you or your child has any special needs or limitations (whether physical, developmental, emotional, or psychological), please let us know so our teachers can be made aware and try to accommodate them.
Our facility is on the second floor of an historic building. We also utilize the basement for some classes. These areas are not handicap accessible. Outside classes on our lawn may be an option.
The listings below are sorted by start date and time. If you would like to refine your search, go to the All Art Classes page and select the category of interest (e.g., Teens or Jewelry).

*** NOTE: This class is full. You may request to be added to the waitlist by sending an email to info@rosellefa.com.
In this class, students will be introduced to a wide variety of mediums, techniques, and styles. This includes drawing and painting mediums, such as watercolor, acrylics, gouache, pastels, pen and ink, and charcoal, but also printmaking, paper cutting, clay, and weaving, to name just a few. Students will learn basic art concepts and techniques such as color theory, shading, sketching, and perspective. We explore art from different genres, specific artists, past and present, and art from a wide array of cultures around the world.
At this age, our goal is to expose them to various forms of art and materials they may not have at home or school. We combine step-by-step projects with time to explore mediums on their own. Projects are typically short, usually being done start to finish in a single class so that we may have variety each month.
The projects done in this class and Art Exploration II usually overlap. Art Exploration II is for grades 3-6, so often the same project is taken to the next level of difficulty, or maybe the students are given a bit more creative freedom. Since grades 3 & 4 overlap both classes, you may determine placement based on your assessment of your child’s skills and maturity level.
We will often do messy projects and sometimes use acrylic paints or ink which may be permanent. We have aprons, but you may want to have your child come in old clothes, or you may want to bring a long-sleeved smock for them to wear. If wearing long sleeved clothes, we try to have them push or roll them up above their elbows. If your child has long hair, it is best to have it back in a hair tie.
This is an ongoing class, meaning a varying set of skills and new projects are taught each month/semester.
